The RealtyFlex Program assists each agent in better serving his  or her clients and customers in a straight-forward manner. Our innovative program provides our agents with the latest tools of the real estate industry, along with the needed independence to make market driven decisions. Furthermore, our agents have the flexibility to remain competitive yet  still maximize their earnings on every sale. This non-traditional approach to the real estate business creates the win-win situation that we strive for on every deal, yet still allowing RealtyFlex to make a reasonable profit.

Dave started RealtyFlex just 31/2-years ago and has steadily recruited and maintained between 70 and 75  agents. We also recruit agents right out of the schools and assign them to their own personal real estate trainer. We offer one-on-one training so an agent can get "on the job" training from their mentors. This allows a new agent to move at their own pace. Agents do come and go in this industry, but our core base of experienced and seasoned agents continues to grow stronger. We view this as positive growth.

Dave has over 30-years experience but has exclusively focused on selling and leasing retail, offices, warehouses and investment properties for the last  23-years in the Greater Fort Wayne area. Dave has been known to tackle some of the most difficult projects in town. He is able to solve the problems and take the deals to closing.   

RealtyFlex Licensor

Dave developed the very affordable RealtyFlex Trademark Licensing pro-gram and is the tool that will allow us to grow. Many experienced Brokers desire to own their own company, but they see the value in alligning themselves with a larger marketing arm and image. An Independent broker can purchase a RealtyFlex License and spin off of the success we have experienced allowing them immediate  name recognition. Dave continues to look for ways to help the agents better compete in the marketplace, plus he wants his agents to make more money and succeed. Dave believes it is better to influence the changes in the industry then it is to simply respond to the changes. That is why Dave has introduced so many different kinds of programs in Fort Wayne. He knows the competition is critical of his thinking, but he knows his critics simply don't understand the future of our industry. Realistically, most people follow the lead of others, and Dave simply chooses to take the lead.

RealtySmart Trademark Licensing:

After 5-years of diligent pursuit, we finally secured the name RealtySmart from the US Patent and Trademark Office. 

We are in the process of developing our web based program to market in the US and in Canada.  

We recognize that ideas alone have no value but the development and implementation of the ideas are what matters.

Dave's Bio

Dave believes that all parts of his career were needed to get to where he is today.  In 1975, Dave obtained his real estate license within one month of being chosen to be an Allen County Police Officer.  Dave enjoyed his stint in vice and narcotic's, but was drawn into the real estate business full time as a result of selling homes to fellow Officers in his off hours. He decided a career in real estate was better suited for him long term, so he resigned from the Department in 1978 to work as a full time Realtor in his parent’s C-21 Office.

In 1980, Dave obtained his Broker's license and decided to leave the comforts of his parent's franchise to buy and sell “rehab” properties and to get him through the post Carter recession period. He bought and sold properties for five years, which led him to the beginning of his  commercial sales career. Buying and selling houses taught Dave the basic business side of the industry.

While on the department, Dave became friends with another Officer who was also a flight instructor. In 1982, Dave decided to get his pilot’s license. This not only expanded his  sphere of influence, plus at 2,500 feet in the air, Dave began seeing properties in a whole new perspective. Dave sold countless homes to other pilots that he met at the airport, but began seeing the use for his flying skills as a tool to go into commercial sales. Dave targeted areas and properties from the ground and then flew the sites and took aerial photos of them. Since Dave lacked the needed commercial knowledge, skills, and confidence to even take a commercial listing, he took the aerial photos to the property owners and used them as a "lead in" tool to just talk about the owner’s property. This eventually paid off and Dave made his first commercial sale, selling the NE corner of Clinton and Jefferson Streets to Wendy’s Restaurant. Since then, Dave has grown to be one of Fort Wayne's very credible Commercial Brokers.

Dave has always used his creativity and his “go for it” attitude to carve out a niche' for himself. In his early commercial years, Dave sold several Subway Stores and locations, and at the same time, he met John Seyfert, Magic Chip Company Owner. Dave suggested to John that he private label chips for Subway. John told Dave that he would make the Chips for Subway if Dave could sell Subway on the idea. Within six months after Dave  presented his idea to Subway HQ's in CT, Dave put Subway labeled chips on the Subway store shelves.  Three years later, Dave put chips in the eastern ½ of the U.S.Hawaii, Guam, Japan, Iceland, and Alaska. The Subway brokered deal allowed Dave to travil the States  extensively for five years, broadening his vision as a businessman.

Dave prides himself on never selling out his values during his career. Dave takes his chosen profession very seriously and enjoys it to the fullest. Having strong ethics really matters to Dave and he takes pride in his years of hard work and becoming known in the business community as an honest Broker.  

In 2003, Dave decided to start a new company that would allow him to build a residential side to his business. He named his  company RealtyFlex since he could see the changes in the industry and he knew a person must learn to be flexible to succeed and survive in the new future of the real estate business. Dave applied for a Trademark on his new name, which was awarded to him in late 2004. In a very short time, Dave hired over 75 agents to serve the residential side of his business,  leaving the commercial side for him to do.

In 2006, Dave has now entered into another phase of his career and has begun selling the use of his logo and Trademark to Independent Brokers. Dave hired an expert California Trademark Lawyer to do his License Agreements, plus he hired professional graphic artists to create his logo and signs. Dave now has five Licensees, but knows the development of the program is just  beginning. RealtyFlex will be opening their first office in Orlando, FL in the near future from a Re/MAX Broker. Further, this Broker will also begin developing RealtyFlex in Central Florida. The RealtyFlex Trademark Licensing Program has already earned Dave an Award from a regional business newspaper as "Innovator of the Year" for Real Estate.
